Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farquhar, best known as two of the executive producer behind iconic animated sitcom “The Proud Family,” have signed a multi-year overall deal with Disney. Under the wide-ranging pact, the pair will produce animated and live-action series and films for Disney’s Branded Television division… As part of their agreement, separate funding will be provided to the duo in order to find and develop emerging talent, as well as bringing unique projects and voices to Disney.

‘The Proud Family: Louder And Prouder’ Series Revival With Original Cast Confirmed For Disney+
Disney+ is bringing back an old favorite. The streamer officially has greenlighted The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, which returns the original cast and executive producers from The Proud Family, which aired on Disney Channel in the 2000s. Original series creator/executive producer Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar are back along with co-EP and story editor Calvin Brown.

‘Frozen 2’ First-Day Advance Ticket Sales Set Animated Film Record
Further evidence that Disney’s “Frozen II” is going to be a gargantuan hit at the November box office: Both Fandango and Atom Tickets have announced that the first day presales for the Chris Buck-Jennifer Lee-directed sequel have eclipsed those for all other animated films. While tracking has “Frozen II” opening to $100M over the weekend of Nov. 22-24, some B.O. prognosticators believe its higher at $125M. For Fandango, “Frozen II” is the online and mobile-ticket seller’s fastest-selling animated pic in its 19-year history, outpacing the presales of “Toy Story 4.”
